So this Memorial Day, was the greatest Memorial Day I've had in a very long time! Yes, it was great because I was remember the soldiers that aren't here to celebrate with us, and because I was spending this occasion with my family playing Kinect, listening to music, and doing the things that families do, but also because my husband and I created a code word that only him and I understand. We had a blast!

HOT TOPIC TUESDAY: Your responsibilities as a wife

Sadly a lot of marriages fail because both partners go into marriage with the wrong expectations or to high expectations, and they don't know their responsibilities as either a husband or a wife.

When I'm having conflict with my husband, the first thing that some of my friends, and family members say is "leave him."

It's not that easy, and that should not be on a married persons mind at all, (accept in maybe adulterous or physical abuse situations.) This is not boyfriend, this is my Husband, and its not that easy.

My responsibilities, are to be his partner, help him, nurture him, and guide him to provide the best for our family physically, financially, and mentally. To love him, and to honor him in all that that entails.

So we all know that the man that caused great heartache almost 10 years ago is now dead, and everyone is excited, and celebrating, etc., but at this time I would like to use this moment to thank and motivate our soldiers, our policemen, our firefighters, our Heroes.

We love and pray for you all, not only because you put your lives on the line for us, but also because you are our husbands, our wives, our sisters, our brothers, our nieces, uncles, cousins, and friends, and we need you. We need you to come home to us safely and soon!
