It's summer time, and with Summer comes vacation!!!  In a marriage, these vacations or get aways are a must!  Sometimes you just have to re-energize your marriage and GET AWAY!  This motivational Monday we would like to motivate you to get your plans together, cross your t's and dot your i's and make plans with hubby to get away...

HOT TOPIC TUESDAY: Half of everything!

This New Year there are so many people getting engaged!  Marriage is beautiful and I'm so happy for these newly engaged couples, but also this year their are so many giving up on the marriage fight and getting divorces*!  There's:

Kobe & Vanessa Bryant
Russel Brand & Katy Perry
Deion & Pillar Sanders

Just to name a few.  What do you think about a spouse getting half of everything after only being married for a few months?  What do you think about a spouse getting half of everything after being married for longer than 10 years?  What do you think about a fully able to work ex-husband getting half of everything or alimony?

HOT TOPIC TUESDAY: Hiding Bank Accounts?

I would like to stick with the money theme I started yesterday, if you don't mind for this Hot topic Tuesday.

In a research study, 32% of women said that they have a bank account that their husbands do not know about as a security blanket in case their husbands leave them, or they decide to leave their husbands.

I myself know a couple of women that have accounts their husbands don't know about so that they can spend money as they please, and their husbands won't check their spending habits.

Do you think hiding accounts is ok in marriage?

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY: Money & Your Relationship

In marriage, there are a lot of obstacles to cross and sadly one obstacle that the majority of marriages have to cross is; finances. We've found that if we maintain a high level of honesty and communication, money issues fall under the topic "Everything We Talk About" and we know where the other is. Also, because we have a real partnership attitude, it's never mattered whether I was earning more or he was earning more.

Respect the FACTS:

1. This is all the money we have to first and for most, make sure we have a roof over I had, the necessities in this house (Light, Gas at least one phone).
2. Any miscellaneous bills like cable, credit cards, Internet service etc. are paid.
3. We have food.
4. Anything left goes towards, clothing or any other entertainment (games, dates, etc.)

So basically what it comes down to, is Communication, and Respect. Great ingredients for a wonderful marriage.
