RWOC SISTA ELITA'S SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE RECIPE




3 CUPS SWEET POTATOES (4 LARGE)
1 CUP SUGAR
½ CUP BUTTER/MARGARINE
¼ CUP MILK
1 TSP VANILLA
MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER
POUR INTO A BAKING DISH

TOPPING
1 CUP NUTS (PECANS/WALNUTS)
1/3 CUP FLOUR
1/3 CUP BUTTER/MARGARINE
1 CUP BROWN SUGAR


MIX ALL INGREDIENTS (EXCEPT NUTS)
SPREAD ON TOP OF POTATOES
SPRINKLE NUTS ON TOP

BAKE 30-45 MINUTES

RWOC SISTA SHARINA'S POT ROAST RECIPE
Slow Cooker Pot Roast


Ingredients:

2 small cans of cream of mushroom condensed soup

1 package of McCormicks slow cooker pot roast seasoning (some use a package of dry onion soup mix which works just as well if you have it on hand just not my preference)

1 cup of water

About 4 carrots chopped

About 4 potatoes peeled and chopped

Salt, Pepper, and Garlic powder to season the meat beforehand

2 Tbsp of oil

5 lb pot roast

Directions:
1. Season the meat to taste- my staples include salt, pepper, and garlic powder for just about everything. Then brown all sides with heated oil in a skillet.

2. Add carrots, potatoes, and any other veggies to your liking to the crockpot, along with water, cream of mushroom soup, and packaged seasoning. The soup mix helps in the creation of its own gravy. (Sometimes I add a tbsp of corn starch mixed with a little water to help thicken the gravy up a bit).

3. Add the browned pot roast on top, cover and cook on low settings for 8 to 10 hours, or on high 4 to 6 hours. Different brands of crockpots cook faster than others I have learned unfortunately the hard way.

Viola! You are finished! Within a matter of hours, you will have a nice meal all ready without much effort! The great thing about this is you can add or take away to your tastes. Sometimes I add only the carrots to cook with the meat, and make a big pot of garlic mashed potatoes and biscuits on the side. Either way, it is very good and a family favorite

RWOC SISTA BRANDI'S TACO DIP & SANGRIA RECIPES


1lb ground beef or turkey
1 pack of finely shredded cheese (Colby and jack or Mexican blend)
1 jar of salsa
1/2 pack of taco seasoning mix
1 pack of cream cheese

Fry ground meat. Mix ground meat, salsa, taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of cheese in a bowl. Spread cream cheese in bottom of pan, and put salsa mix on top of cream cheese. Put cheese on top and put in oven on 325 for 25-30 minutes.


SANGRIA
1 Cup Orange Juice
4 Cups Grape Juice
¼ cup sugar
½ lemon, sliced
½ orange, sliced
1 apple cut into wedges
1 peach cut into wedges
½ pineapple, cut in ½ pieces
1 bottle of sparkling wine ( I used Brut Rose)
Mint Sprigs for garnish

Combine orange juice, grape juice and sugar. Add cut fruit and stir until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate about 10 minutes and add rose sparkling wine to pitcher just before serving.
