MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY: Happy Friends & Happy You

Share

Happy people tend to have happy friends, while unhappy people are likely to spend time with unhappy friends. It is a matter of personal experience that both happy and unhappy people tend to mingle with others having a similar degree of happiness.

If I am a happy person, I uplift the emotions of those I come in contact with. As a result, happy positive people love being in my company. Unhappy people, however, either respond to my joyful positivity, thus beginning their journey toward their own happiness, or they find themselves feeling frustrated and jealous, and sever their relationship with me, but a happy people don't dwell on that. They stick with the keys.

The keys are to :

1. Define your Happiness, your own personal perception.
2. Don't get caught up in other peoples standards of happiness.
3. Live your life to the fullest!
4. Help others on their journey. Pay it forward!

Affirmation: I shine my light of happiness into the darkness of negativity.

HOT TOPIC TUESDAY: Family Dinners @ Hooters, Thumbs up or Thumbs down?

Share

So, my husband and I and a few other family members decided to have family night at Hooters (love those hot wings!) and we were shocked to see a league of about 8-11 year old boys running around the restaurant, and taking pictures with the waitresses.

After seeing this I also learned that Hooters offers High Chairs and children's menus. Do you find this offensive, and would you take your kids there for a family dinner?

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY: Sisterhood

Share

Sisterhood is not just the combination of Greek letters and colors.
It's about friendship and trust sharing hopes and dreams.
It doesn't lie in the depths of pledges, songs and played parts.
It's what lies deep within the depths of our hearts.
For each other growing together becoming strong, as one.
Helping each other, building each other to withstand and overcome.
Supporting your sister when she is in need.
Wiping her tears and easing her pain when she bleeds.
Being a shoulder to lean on in times of despair.
Letting her know that you'll always be there.
Sisterhood is not just strolls and dancing at parties the fun you have at step shows.
It's the warmth and affection you have for each other and the relationships that grow.
It's the tug at your heart when she's going through.
It's you doing what you can do to help her pull through.
Sharing her burdens and easing the load she may bare.
It's about being consistent and showing your care.
-Unknown
Motivating our new sisters and old sisters to don't forget what this sisterhood is all about.

HOT TOPIC TUESDAY: Doing the do, where?

Share

At the beginning of relationships you're in that honeymoon stage. You're happy, everything or anywhere goes! Then your relationship matures and you find yourself doing the same things over and over again.

Valentine's day either brings it on, or it puts a stop to it (Check in on your relationships)!

When it comes down to doing the do, are you a bedroom mostly or a mostly anywhere person?

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

We would like to motivate you to focus on love. Not the commercialized, frilly heart kind of stuff, but the everyday things.

Do you have to clean the house, run errands today? If so, those tasks are ways you are loving your home and your family look at these things as a way of expressing your love to your family.

Most of us still have to work today but let's try to focus on the things we love about it.

Planning to workout today? Do it! This is the biggest way we show love to ourselves.

Hug your loved ones, enjoy a good meal, and ENJOY YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY LOVE!

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY: Strengthen Your inner Peace

Share

The outer world will always attempt to pull you this way and push you that. There will always be external pressures from financial issues, career issues, health issues, relationship issues and more.

Nonetheless, you do always have the ability to resist these external stressors, and to live in inner peace and happiness. You can choose how you prefer to respond to external events, and you can train yourself to minimize your stress and maximize the joy you receive from life.

Stop! Breathe deeply. Begin bringing peace to the outer world by regaining your own inner peace. Choose love, choose gratitude, choose forgiveness, choose peace. Begin with your own inner peace. Then use that inner peace as a platform from which to approach the outer world with perspective, understanding, and patience.

HOT TOPIC TUESDAY: LOVE VS SECURITY

Share

Have you watched the VH1 show Basketball Wives? Well this show is full of Drama! The common thread in all the women on this show, they're either not married, divorced or on the verge of getting a divorce, and one that's in denial.

It seems as though some women have a tendency to mix up love and security . I'm learning that women tend to fall more into financial security and men into emotional security. Hence the Eric and Jennifer Williams drama. Instead of getting emotional support from her husband she gets it from her friends, and instead of Eric expressing this lack of emotional support to his wife he gets it from groupies. Yet why is it that women believe that a man doesn't love them if he isn't a good provider , and men believe women don't love them if they don't take the emotional roller coaster ride with them . What do you think about love vs security?
